I suspect you all know that Roxy resigned from the club on Sat.
I hope he changes his mind because over the years he has been a great servant to the club both on and off the pitch and sometimes even on the dance floor.
Without him you guys would not be playing for AFC because as we all know "Accountants" run everything inc the part time ones.

I think rocco should take a leaf out of stans book, pick up the toys put them back in the pram and get on with things. The whole situation should probably have been handled different, if someone wants to leave the club to better themselves brilliant, but they cant always expect to come back and play. Rocco stepped up to help out and ok may have made some mistakes that cost the game, but its not like anyone has lost a £250 win bonus is it. For fuck sake get some persperctive about it. if he made mistakes drop him but why drop the ressies goalie as well, it doesnt seem right. I think we should remember the bloke is nearly 45 still a decent keeper and wants to play. Whats more the bloke basicly runs the club and is one of the lokes you know you can count on. I think that he was shit on and i dont think we really know who crapped the most, but i think that the teams, club, clubhouse, training, matches and saturdays altogether will be a much sorrier place without him. But lets get some perspective, ITS SATURDAY AFTERNOON PARKS FOOTBALL, no ones fucking died ;D

Lets hope rocco changes his mind and returns to the club. The club will certainly miss him, as jon said he has kept it ticking over for years. Not only this he is a decent trustworthy bloke.

As far as I see it, Rox stepped up to help the team /club out, as he has done many a time, but it was only going to be a short term thing (and had to be). Murph was in the process of trying to bring in another keeper but this week Jonny happened to be available. If anyone was dropped Gareth was. In the end it was a good job Gareth was on the bench as we were missing our centre backs and I was only half fit. I don’t know the rest of the details or what happened after, so I won’t comment or speculate. As Rox would admit Ang 1st team shouldn’t have a 40 + year old in goal (reflection on the club not Rox), the fact Rox can even give it a good go is credit to him. He gets caught out now and then (as we all do) but no one ‘blames’ him personally. However, it is a fact it happens. Unfortunately for him, Gaolie is the one position other players can’t privde cover (e.g. a saving tackle) and a mistake is useually costly, esp as Ang do not have the meanest defensive record generally. Rox is a top top guy and great servant for the club and if he ‘feels’ messed around (whether he was or wasn’t is a different discussion) then we should all be sorry for that. I think part of the problem here is that we take Rox for granted for all he does for the club and he has felt that way for a while. So there may be a bit of toy throwing here (which he may be entitled to) and if it makes us show him how much we do love him, then it might end up being a good thing. :-*He was given the Gav Crossley award for a reason. I hope he comes back soon even if it is just for a beer, as he will be missed at the club and not just for being treasurer. PS Rox, if you are reading this, I think I found your toy truck under the pool table (only joking big guy). PPS – If you have an opinion why not put your name to it (eh guests / guests!)
