Last night we discussed a number of things the bits that are important to you as players are as follows:-
1. Pre season starts Tues 17th July (7.00 at the club) we will train twice a week until the season starts.
2. Friendlies will be arranged for either a Thurs or Sat.
3. When playing a friendly please be aware that subs will be charged.
4. Rocco is carrying on as treasurer but he is rather fed up with collecting subs on match days - eg people giving him money as he is getting changed or having to ask 3 / 4 times the same players for their subs in the bar after. In future subs must be paid as you arrive / before you play.
5. You could say Jon or Carl you collect the subs - well bearing in mind that next season we must rope off the pitch Carl and myself will be a tad busy before and after the game not to mention nets. kit and changing rooms.
6. Leads nicely onto this is a team game and I would hope that players would be willing to lend a hand with some of the boring but necessary duties - PLEASE.
7. Presentation night is on the 19th starts at 7.30 ish.
8. Next season we will need at least 2 kits - £1000 give or take a few quid the committee members will be taking part of a sponsored walk whereby some of the money that will be raised can be used for club funds - yes we are going the extra mile and I think this demonstrates how hard we are prepared to work to make sure you guys have the right equipment etc for the forthcoming season.
9. We don't want any pats on the back a beer will do no seriously all we ask is that you train, make yourselves available every week and pay your subs.
10. AGM 17th July - you can have your say right after training.
Its not too much to ask and after a difficult season I think we have a lot to look forward to.
